How it all started

Since then I stand where others only watch: on the sideline, in the sand, by the boards. Camera to my eye, with the feeling that something is about to happen that you can't afford to miss.

Why beach volleyball

In beach volleyball there's nowhere to hide. Two against two, wind, sun, sand – every emotion shows. That's what I want to capture: not only the perfect attack, but the look to your partner, the exhaustion after the third set, the joy you can't fake.

More than one sport

How I work

I shoot with long lenses and fast shutter speeds so action stays razor sharp – and I select carefully. You don't get a thousand images, you get the ones that matter.

I want everyone to feel comfortable in my pictures – especially younger athletes. That's why I never name minors, protect tournament galleries with a code on request and take any image offline if you ask me to.
